Krystal here!

So, I'd really love to tell you that I'm a yogi and an outdoor enthusiast and that I've traveled the world...but I'd be lying. The truth is, I'm a little bit of everything.

I’m a happily married woman and Mom Boss. I have two creative little girls, two adventurous little boys, one cat, a dog, and 4 chickens!

I'm a lover of:

  • the outdoors
  • a good cause
  • good company
  • farmer's markets
  • buying local
  • dancing around the house and
  • family adventures
  • Sushi
  • beautiful beaches
  • laugh attacks
  • community over competition
  • fresh flowers in my kitchen
  • weddings
  • dessert

I grew up in Southern California, studied at USU, married young in Logan Utah, and through the years we’ve lived in Logan, Texas and Maryland. We moved back to Utah 5 years ago and now live in the Ogden area which has proven to be one of our most favorite cities yet!

It all began when...

I took my first photo class in high school, using only film. My instructor came to me with one of my photos in his hand and strongly encouraged me to enter the image into a contest. I was super shy and extremely self conscious then, so regrettably I never entered the contest. But his encouragement sparked a little something in my heart.

It wasn't until 2008 that I started taking pictures for friends and family. What started as a hobby and passion grew into a wholehearted professional business. I've changed business names over the years as I've grown, and recently settled into Krystal & Co. Photography as I continue to partner with other professionals to bring the best possible services to my clients. I've shot hundreds of sessions and weddings and mentored students here and there, all while balancing work and family life. It's definitely been an exciting journey!

When I first started out I wanted more than anything to make sure I always had an option of affordable packages. My husband and I could never pay for family pictures when we were in the first years of our marriage, and I desperately wanted them! I get it, it's hard to make ends meet sometimes. But everyone is deserving of quality images that document their life as it changes. To remain true to my company's founding values I still strive to make all of my packages as affordable as possible and worth. every. penny. Everyone involved with Krystal & Co. is dedicated to working hard for the investment our clients make. In addition, I've set up a program where anyone can nominate someone (or themselves) for a free session. I sponsor one or two sessions a year to a nominee. Have someone in mind that is in need of a little pick-me-up? You can submit your story and nominee here. To find out more about how Krystal & Co. contributes to the community, click here.

Krystal & Co. is more than a service -- it's an experience! My focus is on quality, as opposed to quantity, which is why I limit the number of weddings and sessions that I book each year. I want to make sure my clients get the time and attention that they deserve. I value my clients who, more often than not, feel more like friends.

I've been so grateful to have had my husband, friends, and instructors encourage me along the way. I find it absolutely incredible how much beauty and life you can capture with a camera! That’s one of the reasons why I love being a photographer. My hope and goal is for you to see that beauty, love, and personality in the images we create together!

Gaining a relationship with your photographer can make a world of difference in your overall experience! That's why I've started a blog and instagram account. It’s a place where you’ll discover my style and a little bit more about who I am. If you like what you see I’d love to hear from you!
