I've been wanting to put together a styled shoot for a while now but with three kids and clients to take care of (not to mention it can be a bit of a challenge to pull all the vendors together for a styled shoot) I never seemed to have the time or energy! So I finally decided to just pick a date and go for it. I reached out to some local professionals and we made it happen! Although I loved my actual shooting time I also really loved connecting with the local vendors and model!
I had a bit of a hard time deciding how I wanted the look and feel of this shoot to go. I had a completely different vision in mind when I first started thinking about a styled shoot. But we ended up going with the dress you'll see below and it changed the vision! So we ended up with a mix of elegant, vintage and trendy. The old wedding tradition "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" came to me after we found the dress so we went with that as a bit of inspiration for the whole thing. And kept it simple. Of course I couldn't have done it without the amazing and talented vendors by my side:
Photographer: Krystal Atkinson Photography
Model: Kylie Felter
Hair and Makeup: Streamline Hair Design by Sam
Hair and Makeup assistant: Sarah Schorr
Florist: Floral Innovations by Raelyn
Dress: Bridal Brilliance Rentals
Venue: The Wellington Reception Center in Ogden
Unfortunately I couldn't pin down a cake artist...most of them were taking time off because it was just a few days after Valentines. So the cake you'll see below was made in my kitchen along with the blackberry napoleons and painted meringues!
